MSC Cruise – a Mediterranean company offers more than just a cruise
HISTORY
MSC has been exploring the seas for more than 300 years, tracing its seafaring roots back to 1675.
In 1970, the Aponte family (p: uh-PAWN-tay) founded the Mediterranean Shipping Company with a single ship. The company is now the 2nd largest container shipping company in the world and number one in North America.
In 1988, MSC Cruises was established. Building on quality service and maritime expertise, the company began building a cruise line with the acquisition of several existing ships. In 2003, MSC Cruises began its expansion by building a brand new fleet of next generation ships.
Today, MSC Cruises is the fourth largest cruise line in the world, with the youngest fleet at sea. MSC Cruises is currently the market leader in capacity in Europe, the Mediterranean, South America and Africa, with 12 ultramodern ships and 46 offices all over the world. Up until today, more than 11 million travelers have already enjoyed a cruise with MSC.

San Juan departures
Carnival Cruises recognize that many of you are anxious to hear news on the plans for our San Juan sailings. Carnival cruises has send a team on the ground in San Juan who has been advised that ground transportation and the airport will be operating at a sufficient capacity to support their guests. An assessment of the cruise terminal is being conducted; however, Fascination cannot be brought in and out of port due to conditions resulting from the storm therefore it is being closely monitored. Being optimistic, Carnival expect to cruise as planned from San Juan October 15th. Look out for further up dates Monday October 9th by 9:00am.
We are completing an assessment of our cruise terminal; however, we were able to bring Fascination in and out of the port immediately after the storm and are confident that the conditions continue to be safe and suitable for our operations. We are optimistic that we will be able to return to normal operations from San Juan for our planned October 15th cruise. We will be confirming our plans for our San Juan departures on Monday, October 9th at 9:00 AM, including a revised itinerary.
Carnival Cruises do apologize for delays and indicated they are working hard to ensure a safe and productive experience for their guests booked on Carnival Fascination.
